RAMM in Afghanistan:
The conflicts in Afghanistan have roots in structural inequalities and various
practices of exclusion and marginalization. There needs to be a deep correction of the political,
economic, and social norms that will lead to a more open and democratic sense of state. This will be
done by establishing basic services, such as quality education which takes into account the
accessibility of education to all children regardless of their background. The education must be
designed and tailored to the Afghan culture and tradition so that it is accepted in the community
and the traditional barriers of fear, stigmatization, religion, gender and poverty no longer play a
defining role in a child’s life.
